What to Expect After Installation
After installation, you will be contacted to go through a final building inspection. After we pass the final inspection, we will work with your utility to receive Permission to Operate (PTO) your system on the grid.
- Systems with a Service Panel Upgrade: We will return to stucco and paint around the panel.
- Systems with Battery Backup: Will be installed and configured to an idle mode until we receive permission-to-operate (PTO) from the utility company. .
Inspection Day Checklist
After installation, you will be contacted to complete a final building inspection. Typically, nobody needs to be home as long access to the system and electrical panel is provided.
- Contact us if work has been done to your home since you installed your system.
- Ensure no other contractors or workers are on site during your solar inspection.
- Clear your driveway and provide safe access to your electrical panel.
- Keep any pets and children away from the inspection area for their safety.
- If any electrical work such as an EV charger or Battery Backup was done inside, please ensure that someone over the age of 17 is home on the day of inspection.
Customers with a Panel Upgrade
To meet city regulations, your electrical panel may not be stuccoed and painted until after the final inspection passes. We ensure that the area around the electrical panel has a weather resistant barrier known as tar paper. Tar paper is known as the water and weather resistive barrier in construction. Our average timeframe to stucco and paint is a week. To avoid delays in scheduling, please ensure that the final balance is paid after the final inspection passes.
